Curriculum Vitae

Paul Cripps - Senior New Media Developer.

A brief history:

I have been involved in the design and interactive industry since 1996 when I won a place on one of the UK's first Multimedia courses. Initially I joined the course to further my skills in photography and animation, but it was here I began to design, author and code websites and CD-ROMS.

I currently employed as Senior New Media Developer at Mirashade. Here I have continued to build on my skill sets and grow within a great team. The beauty of Mirashade has been its drive for creativity and diversity across a vast range of work.

Working Experience:

Mirashade 2000 to date:
I originally joined Mirashade as a mid-weight designer/developer and worked my way up to become Senior New Media Developer, a position which I have held for the last two years. In this role I have been given the freedom and flexibility to manage myself and have therefore had to exercise personal management and discipline. I have worked well both independently and as part of a creative team, depending on the nature of the job. My responsibilities have included: running initial client meetings, budgeting, scheduling, proposals and creative treatments, project development and ensuring final delivery. The creative work has been just as varied. My key projects have included; website development, layouts, css, javascript, design and optimisation of graphics, animation and actionscript, creation of interactive CD-ROMS produced in both director and flash.

Interactive-experience: 1998 - 2000
Shortly after graduation I was employed by Interactive-experience (a subsidiary of 2 Heads Global design) as a junior designer and programmer and moved to the role of "mid-weight" after a year I was responsible for website design and development, animation, basic video edits, creation of interactive CD-ROMS and kiosk presentations. I gained valuable experience with a range of clients and projects including Samsung (design and development of their storage facilities portal), WorldPay PLC (design and development of sales CD-ROM), Cabletron (viral marketing and exhibition stand Point of Sale presentation), Lambert Smith Hampton (design and development of market review CD-ROM). Other clients included NTL, B.T, Virgin biz.net, Hallmark, National car rental/ALAMO, Eidos and Trafficmaster tm.
